I found a way to emulate reconnection problems! You should just turn on VPN, and voila! There is a bug with history state too.
To reproduce, you should:

  • turn on VPN, or loose connection in some other way
  • select some contact you didn't select this session yet
  • you're going to see the spinning progress thingie
  • when the connection comes back the spinning thingie doest go away
  • the contact hisoty is broken untill you close and restart the app
