"[V]isions, dreams, and miracles as a means for establishing [authority]...are some of the most dangerous imaginable in their ability to produce falsehood and deception amongst the unwary." (E.L.Martin, Secrets of Golgatha (1996) at 218-19.)

Is There a Biblical Doctrine of Health & Wealth?

Disease

Exodus 15:26 NIV says:

He said, "If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

Misfortune

Isaiah 42:24-25World English Bible (WEB)

24

Who gave Jacob as plunder,
    and Israel to the robbers?
Didn’t Yahweh, he against whom we have sinned?
For they would not walk in his ways,
    and they disobeyed his law.
25 Therefore he poured the fierceness of his anger on him,
    and the strength of battle;
    and it set him on fire all around, but he didn’t know;
and it burned him, but he didn’t take it to heart.”

Blessings of Success and Properity vs Misfortunes

Joshua 1:8

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Twelve Apostles special Health Protection

In Luke 10:18, we read:

"Then He said to them [the seventy witnesses He had sent out], I saw the Adversary, Satan falling as lightning (astraphe – as a bright beam or ray of light) fromheaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions (skorpios – poisonous insect) and upon the whole of the hostile enemy’s power. And absolutely nothing will harm you." (Luke 10:18-19)

Happiness

The word "blessed" in English means "Happy." Here are passages about that topic:

Psalm 128 in its entirety is all about obedience results in "happiness" from God. As the preacher read this psalm this Sunday, he said this is not a "guarantee of happiness" but then adds Holy Scripture does say elsewhere "I have never seen the children of the righteous begging for bread" so many preachers downplay these sentiments in the Bible:

[1] How joyful are those who fear the Lord
    all who follow his ways!
[2] You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
How joyful and prosperous you will be!
[3] Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine,
    flourishing within your home.
[4] Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table.
That is the Lord’s blessing
    for those who fear him.

[5] May the Lord continually bless you from Zion.
May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live.
May you live to enjoy your grandchildren.
May Israel have peace! (Psalm 128 NLT)

Comment

There is a false health and wealth gospel that teaches if you become a believer, and then believe God will give you health and wealth that you will get it. That is a false version of the true version

Instead, Jesus taught us that we are not to be anxious about health and wealth, but if we would put the kingdom of righteousness first, then all these things will be added to us. That's God's promise about health and wealth which depends upon us not putting a priority on health and wealth, but on God and obedience to him.
