There is a translationinto English of parts of the Syriac-Clementine-Recognitions-and-Homilies by Joseph Glen Gebhardt that has been made, and is that is downloadable from: christianpublishinghouse.co/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/The-Syriac-Clementine-Recognitions-and-Homilies.pdf

It is said to be based on British Library Additional Manuscript 12150 (BL Add. 12150), having a date corresponding to 411/412 CE written on it, based on facsimiles obtained from the British Library.

We know nothing about the translator, and we have reservations about anything from that publishing house, and wonder aloud if this is a Grave Distraction. We are still in the process of comparing the "Syriac" translation and the travesty by Rufinus, and the translations of the Greek fragments.

Simon, Simon Magus, and Paul in the Syriac-Clementine-Recognitions-and-Homilies

The Clementine Recognitions recount the travels and conflicts between the Apostle Peter, and an Apostate called variously "Simon" or "Simon Magus". This "Simon" is often interpreted as the Apostate Paul, but we are unsure: if the Recognitions are a fight against the Marcionites, it could be that the fight is with a "Simon" who is a mentor or precedor of Marcion, such as Cerdo, as student of Simon Magus.

It has been noted that the path of Peter's travels in the Recognitions does not significantly correlate with the path of Paul's travels in Acts.

However, if we assume the "Pauline" Epistles are written by Marcion, or by a mentor or precedor of Marcion, then the exact identity of "Simon" is not very important, because the fight of Peter is with the Marcionites - be he Paul or Simon or Cerdo or...
